Site Description	The church was founded in 1859 and has a proud history as a liberal presence in the community as several founders of the cities of Bloomington and Normal and of the local university (Illinois State) were members. Adlai Stevenson II, Illinois Governor and Ambassador to the UN was a member. The congregation is also proud of its history as a teaching congregation, having hosted many interns in previous years. The congregation is growing in numbers, and volunteer energy, which had been depleted during the Covid pandemic, is also growing. The congregation's commitment to the LGBTQIA+ community is strong, and the congregation is dedicated to working for racial justice.
Job Description	The intern will work closely with the lead minister on core areas of congregational life, including worship, pastoral care, rites of passage and path to membership. Accessibility notes: Main level accessible; chair lift to get to lower level; chancel has steps.
