Site Description	MDUUC is a vibrant, engaged congregation operating both in person, on-line and in an extensive hybrid context. We average 200plus at worship, a full religious education program, and maintain an active calendar that can be viewed at our website. We also have a Faith without walls initiative that works to provide accompaniment to unhoused people and others with extreme need in our community. Job Description	This is a parish/community internship, centered in congregational life AND allowing significant interaction in community chaplaincy to those living houseless. We have an active pastoral care program, continued successful membership outreach and a vibrant social justice program in a spiritually nourishing natural setting. The congregation has a commitment to anti-oppression, climate action and remaining a multi-generational space. Opportunity to work with a dynamic staff team which includes Rev. Rodney Lemery as our Associate Minister.

Additional Notes	Over 50 people have interned or done other forms of student ministry at MDUUC and we are restarting the internship because of a bequest which allows us to offer more to offset high cost of living. We are thrilled to be offering the Sonja Christopher Internship for the first time in 2024-25! (This is also offset by our inclusion of health insurance.) Our members celebrate being a teaching congregation and are eager to serve as a member of the Intern's committee. If a particular identity is important to an intern, we are committed to providing education on that identity before the intern's start date.
