Site Description	At the historic Eliot Church, with roots in Congregational and Unitarian Universalist traditions, we are guided by Christian and other religious and secular teachings. Our congregation inspires a sense of spiritual and philosophical purpose, as we strive to make our community a better place. As an ecumenical ministry, the Eliot Church draws from a variety of sources for its weekly worship services. Some of these sources are Christian, some are from the other world religions and various philosophical traditions. Typically, however, there is at least one scripture reading and there is usually a sermon.
Job Description	The intern minister provides ministerial services to the Eliot Church congregation including preaching, teaching, counseling and pastoral care, administration, rites-of-passage ceremonies, participation in/coordination of community events, and participation in professional meetings and conferences. Job description specifics can be worked out between the intern and supervisor based on intern interest and learning goals.
