Site Description | First Unitarian Church of Albuquerque is a large congregation in the high desert setting of Albuquerque, NM. We have a long history of hosting interns, and the congregation is dedicated to supporting the formation of future Unitarian Universalist ministers. The intern will be joining and working with a 12-15 person staff team. In addition to the main Albuquerque campus, First Unitarian has two branch locations, in Edgewood (30 min away) and Socorro (90 min away).
Job Description | This internship will be tailored to the learning needs of the intern. The large church setting provides ample opportunities for the intern to gain exposure and experience in a number of programs, as well as administration, leadership, church systems, worship, community outreach, and justice work. The intern will be responsible for creating a plan that addresses self-identified learning goals. The intern is given wide latitude to fulfill learning goals and address growing edges. While the intern is expected to engage in weekly reflection sessions with the supervisor, the intern is expected to be self-motivated and take initiative in proactively taking responsibility for their learning and growth.
